Penelitian unik itu itu dilakukan oleh para psikolog dari Universitas DePauw, Indiana, Amerika Serikat yang detikhot kutip dari Health24, Senin (20/4/2009). Penelitian itu dilakukan dengan mengamati foto-foto dari buku tahunan.

Sebanyak 225 perempuan dan 124 laki-laki berusia 21-81 tahun menjadi objek penelitiannya. Mereka ditanyakan mengenai kehidupan pribadi masing-masing. Pada orang-orang yang berumur 65 tahun ke atas, para peneliti juga menanyakan perihal kehidupan rumah tangga mereka.

Dari data yang didapat para peneliti tadi, 31 persen orang-orang yang fotonya tampak masam dan tidak tersenyum ternyata mengalami perceraian. Sedangkan perceraian orang-orang yang fotonya dalam pose tersenyum lebar hanya 11 persen.

Menurut para psikolog, walau dari sebuah foto, dapat terlihat sisi emosional seseorang. Orang-orang yang bermuka masam saat difoto biasanya emosinya lebih tidak stabil sehingga berimbas pada pernikahannya. (kee/kee)
